Instead of using 16 individual GPIO pins for 16 buttons, this keypad uses a multiplexed matrix system. By scanning the 4 rows and 4 columns, your microcontroller (like an Arduino or ESP32) can accurately detect which key is being pressed. Durable and Weather-Resistant
Built from a high-quality PET membrane with conductive ink circuits, this keypad is designed to handle over 1 million presses. The flat, sealed surface is naturally resistant to dust and light moisture, making it more durable in “dirty” environments than open tactile buttons. It features a flexible ribbon cable terminated with a standard 2.54mm (0.1″) female header, allowing for a direct connection to breadboards or male jumper wires.
