The 2312A series represents a significant upgrade over the older 2212 motors. By optimizing the internal magnetic circuit and using high-quality single-wire winding, DJI achieved a maximum thrust of approximately 850g per motor on a 4S system. This results in a more responsive flight feel and better stability for aerial photography, even in windy conditions.
Versatile DIY Compatibility
While designed for the Phantom 3, the 2312A is a favorite for custom “F450” or “S500” class quadcopters. Its self-locking shaft design is compatible with DJI 9450 and 9443 propellers, allowing for quick, tool-free prop installation. The built-in centrifugal fan design actively pulls air through the bell to keep the motor cool during long-endurance missions.
